LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola Women's Golf recorded its highest team finish of the year in its first tournament of the spring, and Jules Loibl also earned her highest individual finish with a third-place marking.

Loibl recorded her first top-5 finish of 2019-20 and her third top-10 finish when she placed as the top PacWest Conference golfer at last week's Point Loma Sea Lion Invitational.

As a result, Loibl's been selected by the PacWest Conference as the first PacWest Conference Women's Golfer of the week for this spring.

She is currently second on the team in scoring average with a 76.56. That's over a full stroke better than her career average of 77.69. Loibl carded her best single round of this season when she shot a 72 to open the tournament this week.

Loibl finished with a two-round tally of 150 (+6) to place third behind two golfers from the winning school, Sonoma State.

She and the Eagles return to action at the Tim Tierney Pioneer Shootout in early-March.
