YORBA LINDA, Calif. --- Elliot Ruoo's passion for soccer has held strong through some difficult circumstances during his high school career. Ruoo had to sit out two of his high school seasons due to CIF transfer rules and to breaking his femur as a junior. 

But the attacking mid was resolute amidst the adversity he faced and worked his way back to top form as a senior at Yorba Linda High School, leading the Mustangs in goals and assists as a senior to earn Offensive MVP honors from his team. 

Ruoo is continuing to hone his soccer skills with the highly regarded LA Galaxy OC Premier 02 club team. But come Fall 2020, he'll be in a Biola Men's Soccer kit and looking to score key goals for the Eagles during their fourth season in the PacWest conference. 

The Yorba Linda, California-native will come out of high school with three varsity letters and a rookie of the year recognition as a sophomore at Santa Margarita Catholic High.

Away from the pitch, Ruoo invests a lot of his time and energy into living out his Christian faith and serving at his church. He volunteers in his church's children's ministry and youth group and helps organize church events like retreats.

Ruoo's desire to help people and spread the gospel was one of the main reasons Biola as a University was a worthwhile place to invest the next four years. He also expressed his appreciation for the community on the men's soccer team:

"I chose to attend Biola University because it gave me the opportunity to play competitive soccer in a Christian, and faith-based environment, which I value highly," said Ruoo." Additionally, everyone on the team was extremely welcoming and nice, which made me feel right at home."
