AUSTIN, Texas --- Biola Women's Golf reached all the way to Texas to bring in their latest signing. May Grace Davidson, a two-sport student-athlete at Regents School of Austin, will join the team in Fall 2020 for her first collegiate season.

"I am so excited to be playing at Biola this fall," said Davidson. "The atmosphere of the campus and the environment on the team is one that I hope to be able to contribute to. The girls and Coach Carr are some of the sweetest people that I have ever met, and I am extremely excited to be joining them."

Davidson earned all-state honors and multiple all-state academic honors during her time competing for the Knights. She finished inside of the top-10 at the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) championships three times, including one podium finish (3rd).

In addition to golf, Davidson played multiple seasons of varsity basketball and helped her team to the TAPPS state semifinals. 

TAPPS is the governing body for private schools in Texas for academic, athletic, and fine arts programs. TAPPS has 230 member schools in Texas with a combined enrollment of more than 40,000 students. Schools are presently aligned in six classifications with districts across the state of Texas. Regents participates in the 5A classification. 

Throughout her school experience, Davidson took advanced honors classes and managed a cumulative grade point average right around 3.7. 

"When I started looking at colleges, the last place I thought I would end up in is California," said Davidson. "Over the past few weeks I had been worried that I wasn't going to be able to do well at Biola. But some amazing opportunities popped up, and signs started to lead me to believe that I was being called by God to go to Biola."

Davidson plans to major in engineering physics during her time at Biola.

The Eagles are right in the thick of their spring season right now. The team finished second in the PacWest a year ago and will have a chance to improve on that in April.

Look for Davidson to be on course with them when the 2020-21 season begins in September.
