EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. --- Head Coach Sean Henning announces the addition of CJ Emde to the 2020 Biola Track & Field roster. Emde comes to BU following four years as a runner and football player at Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills.

Emde runs the 100m, 200m and 400m and comes to Biola with personal-bests of :11.45, :23.35 and :53.64, respectively.

"As someone who was not raised in a Christian home, I wanted a place where I could be surrounded by a Christian community and grow not only faith, but in my relationships with fellow believers," said Emde. "I was also heavily involved with my churches mission trips, kids ministry, youth groups, along with outreach programs."

Emde was the MVP of the Trojans track team in 2018. He was also heavily involved in the Christian Club and Spikeball Club on campus.

He plans to pursue a career in the Air Force after he completes his time at Biola, with a goal of serving in Pararescue. After that he wants to go into business or go back to school to pursue a master's degree.

Catch Emde and the rest of his Eagles' teammates out on the track later this year as they begin their first year of full NCAA postseason eligibility.
