LA MIRADA, Calif. --- The 2019 Biola Cross Country season is all about keeping one eye focused on the postseason, even right from the very start.

The Eagles were selected to host the PacWest Cross Country Championships at the end of October. The even will be run at Ted Craig Regional Park, the same course used at the Biola Invitational, which is Biola's first event of the year.

The Invite has a larger field this season with many PacWest teams clamoring to get some experience at the course out in Fullerton. The Eagles host a 5k and 8k at Craig Park on Sept. 7. The PacWest Championships on Oct. 26 see the women run 6k and the men 8k. 

In between that the Eagles also will have opportunities to preview both the NCAA Division II West Region Championship course and the NCAA Division II Championship course. The second meet of the season sees Biola travel up to Monmouth, Oregon for Western Oregon's Sundowner Invitational. It will be the same course (Ash Creek Preserve) as this year's regional competition.

Biola is in its first year eligible for NCAA Postseason and would be expected to make the regional field for the Nov. 9 meet. 

On Sept. 28 the Eagles have the opportunity to preview the national championship course in hopes that the teams, or at least some individuals, will make the national championship field on Nov. 23. The September meet is the Capital Cross Country Challenge, hosted by the Sacramento Running Association.

At that meet Henning's teams will have a chance to gain some valuable experience at the Arcade Creek Cross Country Course, while also running alongside NCAA Division I, II and III competition.

Also included in the Eagles' regular season schedule are meets at CSU San Bernardino, CSU Fullerton and one hosted by Vanguard at Biola's former home course, Irvine Regional Park.
