FONTANA, Calif. --- Biola Track & Field added another Eagle to its Flock as Alexis Madrid-Coredero joins the sprints team. Madrid-Cordero comes in as a freshman after competing in track & field and soccer for the Etiwanda High School Eagles.

"I chose Biola because of their excelling academics, great sports program and faith-based community," said Madrid-Cordero. "I am excited to become a member of the track and field team."

Madrid-Cordero will run the 100m, 200m and perhaps the 4x100m relay for Head Coach Sean Henning's group. In high school she earned both all-league first team and all-league second team honors.

She comes to Biola with a 100m personal-best of :12.85 and a 200m time of :27.49.

During her high school career Madrid-Cordero also was a member of the cum laude academic society and earned soccer scholar-athlete status. She plans to major in nursing at Biola and eventually enter a career as a nurse practitioner or cRNA.

Catch Madrid-Cordero and the rest of the team out on the track when the season begins next February.
