CATANIA, Italy --- Kristina Arcerito was a Student-Athlete Academic Award winner during her time at nearby Martin Luther King High School. Now she'll look to translate her athletic and academic skills to the next level, committing to Biola Swim & Dive.

Arcerito will join the Eagles for the 2019-20 season after graduating King and completing her career with the Wolves in spring 2019.

"(I chose Biola because) the Christian atmosphere is everything I could ever want and the people are genuine," said Arcerito.

She is a freestyle and butterfly specialist, coming to BU with her top 100-butterfly time of 1:03.85 coming at the CA FAC IMX Challenge SC Meet this past February.

Arcerito spends her downtime helping out at her home church of Sandals Church and also volunteering at Riverside Community Hospital.

She plans to major in public health and work towards a career as a pediatric physician.

Catch Arcerito and the Eagles in the pool this October, when they open their 2019-20 season with Pacific Coast Swim & Dive Conference competition at the SPLASH! Aquatic Center. It's also the first season swimmers and divers are eligible to qualify for NCAA Division II postseason competition.
