LA MIRADA, Calif. --- After the Biola Eagles stormed to a second-place finish at the PacWest Golf Championships a week ago, three members of Head Coach Jane Carr's team were named All-Conference selections on Thursday.

Junior Jules Liobl and freshman Sami Penor were named to the All-PacWest second team while junior Alexis Gopfert appeared on the third team. It's the first year-end award for each women after all three earned top-10 finishes at the PacWest Championships and were named to the All-Tournament Team.

Loibl lowered her scoring average by over a stroke this season (a team-best 77.15) and had five top-10 finishes. She had 14 sub-80 rounds this season and tied with Tori Roeske for second place at the ERAU Co-Ed Invitational with a score of 224 over 54 holes in early October. Loibl finished in sixth place at the PacWest Championships out of the 35-player field and was named PacWest Golfer of the Week on Oct. 11, 2018.

Penor started her collegiate career by tying Biola's program record for single-round score with a 71 in the first round at Western New Mexico Fall Invite and had four-straight rounds of 76 or under to start the season. She recorded individual victories at the NCCAA West Regional (71-74=145) and the NCCAA National Championship in Florida (78-75-76=229) and set a new program record for single-round score in the first round at the PacWest Championships with a 70 in the first round. Penor was the overall leader through 27 holes at the Championships before finishing in fourth place as the Eagles' top-finisher.

Gopfert also had a top-three scoring average for Biola at 78.38 and improved by over four strokes from the year previous. She had four top-10 finishes, including ninth place finishes at the NCCAA National Championships and the PacWest Championships, and started her 16-round season with seven-straight sub-80 rounds. Gopfert became the first Eagle to earn back-to-back All-Tournament Team spots and truly played her best in Biola's biggest 54-holes tournaments.
