FORESTVILLE, Calif. --- Biola Men's Soccer got some exciting news shortly after New Year's Day a few months ago when First Team All-League centerback Trevor Mendenhall officially signed his letter of intent to join the Eagles out of Rincon Valley Christian.

Mendenhall is coming off a great senior season for the Rincon Valley Eagles, scoring 14 of the team's 53 goals while assisting on 10 others to earn First Team All-League honors. And when He arrives at Biola in the fall, he'll join his brother Bradley, who will be a junior at the University, and become the fifth member of his family to play soccer at the collegiate level.

Four of Mendenhall's older siblings, brother Mark and sisters Amanda, Kim and Kaitlyn, all played soccer at Corban University in Salem, Oregon where they left an impact in defense in the early 2000's. Mark was an all-conference defender and a captain for the Warriors while Amanda was an all-conference and NAIA All-American midfielder. Kim and Kaitlyn also shined as goalkeepers and still have their names all over the Corban Women's Soccer record book for goalie statistics like shutouts and goals against average.

Trevor brings his own impressive resume to Biola, having played club soccer with Santa Rosa United Soccer Club since he was eight. He also enjoys being involved at his church in Windsor, California and serves in a camp ministry for foster children that allows him to share the love of God with the campers.

Mendenhall will major in kinesiology at Biola and hopes to eventually enter a career as a physical therapist. Until then, he's excited about how the men's soccer team will embrace and help develop his skills and passions:

"I enjoyed coming and meeting the team. I am impressed with both their level of play and their commitment to Jesus," said Mendenhall. "I'm also excited to join my brother Bradley at Biola who will be a junior next year."
