Our women scored 20 points more than last year, however are a much better team. I am happy with how we are continuing to improve, however the conference is just getting better. We will have to keep trying to do the same."

Maumalanga scored in both the shot put and the discus on Saturday. She finished eighth in shot put with an 11.12m and got that second in the discus, coming close to her school record with a toss of 44.04m.

The Eagles ended the meet combining for 192 points. That's a 70-point improvement from last year's combined team score. Things continue to look up for Head Coach Sean Henning's group!

"I think we are heading in the right direction," said Henning. "This weekend was a good stepping stone before our first year as a fully NCAA DII program and I felt we did a great job competing and representing in both genders and in almost every event we were in. Lastly, our coaching staff and athletic trainer Elle Farrar did a great job of keeping things running smoothly the last couple of days. I leaned on them heavily and they did a phenomenal job."

Catch them next at the CSU Fullerton Titan Twilight Meet on May 3. After that a group will head to Winona Lake, Ind. for the National Christian College Athletic Association National Championships.
