LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Anna Maumalanga had a solid week at the San Diego State Aztec Invitational, recording her second-best shot put and discus marks of the season. Her efforts allowed her to be honored by the National Christian College Athletic Association as their women's Field Athlete of the Week.

She has the top marks in all of the NCCAA in both events and this week came very close to her season (and career) bests. She placed top-10 in both events with a seventh-place mark in the discus (42.92m) and a ninth-place finish in the shot put (11.45m).

Maumalanga and the Eagles are back in action this week when they travel up north for the San Francisco State Distance Carnival on Thursday and Friday.
