Signing announcnement for Lilly McNeill

Eagles Add State Champion

Three-time singles state champion commits to Biola Women’s Tennis from Leawood, Kansas and Kansas City Christian School

December 03, 2019

LEAWOOD, Kan. --- Lilly McNeill has been one of the leading names in Kansas City Christian School's dominance of 3-1A girls tennis in Kansas over the past few years. On top of a 70-4 overall singles record in high school and three-consecutive state singles titles, McNeill will bring a UTR of 8 to Biola Women's Tennis in Fall 2020 after she signed her NLI in November.

McNeill cleared her Regional tournament and qualified for State all four years of high school, winning her third-place match as a freshman before rattling off three-straight Kansas State Singles Championships in tandem with KCC's team titles at State.

On the way to her third first-place trophy, McNeill only dropped one game during the entire state tournament this past October. That success was just one of the reasons that tennisrcruiting.net ranked McNeill as the No. 2 recruit in her state and a top-10 recruit from the region.

And she'll also fit right in with the character and leadership qualities that have been a hallmark of Head Coach David Goodman's programs as McNeill was named the team leader by her teammates at KCC and still found time to accumulate 75 volunteer hours during her high school years.

McNeill is a National Honors Society member and plans to use her prowess in Mathematics to pursue a B.S. in business administration with an emphasis in financial planning or financial management at Biola. McNeill plans to pursue a career as a financial advisor and is looking forward to the camaraderie she'll experience on the Eagles' tennis team.

"I chose Biola for the size and location. I also really liked the team and the school," said McNeill. "What excites me about coming to Biola for athletics is that I get to be part of a team since there is more of a team aspect to college tennis."

McNeill will enroll at Biola in the Fall of 2020 and will join her new teammates for fall practices is September. More information on the incoming 2020-21 class that will join McNeill at Biola can be found on the Committed Athletes page.
