OREGON CITY, Ore. --- Oregon-native Brady Turnquist has committed to Biola Women's Golf, adding even more State Tournament experience to Head Coach Jane Carr's 2020-21 group. 

Turnquist attended West Linn High School in Oregon and showed great improvement during her three years of varsity golf, earning a better all-league recognition each year. As a freshman in 2017, she received an Honorable Mention All-Three Rivers League Award while her team won the district and finished second in the state as a team. 

During her sophomore year, Turnquist's team repeated as district champions and secured a third place state-finish to move up to the Second Team on the All-Three Rivers lists. In her junior year in this past Spring, Turnquist stepped her game up to the next level as a co-captain of her team, achieving First Team All-League honors and leading her team to a third-straight district champion. The Lions finished 3rd in state yet again in 2019. 

Away from the course, Turnquist is involved in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes club at West Linn HS and participates in the Willamette Christian Church youth group. Consequently, she expressed excitement about studying at a University that shared her faith convictions while playing and traveling in college: 

"I chose Biola because I wanted a school that was going to help me grow in faith, academics and athletics and I feel like Biola can challenge me in all those aspects, " said Turnquist. 
"I'm also very excited about competing with my team and traveling to new places while playing golf at Biola."

Turnquist plans to major in Psychology when she arrives in the fall, and she hopes to compete on the LPGA tour one day.
