LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Raegan Tjepkema has been named PacWest Conference Player of the Week. She had a record-setting week last week as she tied Biola's single-match record for hitting percentage in the Eagles' win over Hawaii Pacific.

The freshman led the conference in hitting percentage for the week and had 38 kills in 12 sets. She opened the week with a career-high 18 kills against Hawai`i Hilo and only had three errors in the five-set match. She then helped Biola to its win with a 13-kill performance during which she had zero attack errors.

"Any time somebody wins those types of award we're really excited for her, but it's all about how the team rallied and played around her," said Head Coach Aaron Seltzer. "She's had a really great finish to this conference season and has been a big part of what we've done these last couple of weeks."

Tjepkema finished the week with 16 blocks and 11 of those blocks came in the five-set match against Hawai`i Hilo, which was also a season-high.

She's got 221 kills in her freshman season and is hitting a team-best .331 overall. Her .867 number against Hawaii Pacific tied the program record set by Sierra Bauder in a win over Point Loma last year.

Tjepkema and the Eagles host Point Loma (18-10; 14-6 PacWest) on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. to kick off the final week of the regular season.
