Signing Announcement for Grace Kilng

Eagles Secure Local Talent

Brea-native Grace Kling signs to swim for Biola.

November 15, 2019

BREA, Calif. --- On the first day of the 2020 NCAA signing period, Biola Swim & Dive head coach Ryan Kauth wasted no time in picking up his first official National Letter of Intent from local talent Grace Kling. Kling hails from nearby Brea, California and will become the fourth member of her family to attend the University. Kling will swim the breaststroke and IM for Biola, following her cousin Jennifer Walker, who swam butterfly for the Eagles from 2013 to 2017.

Kling was homeschooled throughout high school, and she's earned a 4.0 GPA for all three completed years of schooling. She gained her swim experience through nine years of club, most recently with SOCAL Aquatics.

"I owe so much to my coaches for helping me achieve collegiate swimming," said Kling. "They pushed me when I was tired, they helped me achieve a 2018 Junior National cut, and they've believed in me."

Kling not only is looking forward to swimming for the Eagles but anticipates great growth while at Biola.

"I'm so excited to be a part of a team who pushes each other in the pool and towards Christ. I can feel the difference here," Kling said.

Upon her arrival in the fall, Kling hopes to major in cinema and media arts with plans to be a movie maker one day.

More information on the rest of the incoming 2020-21 class that will join Kling at Biola can be found on the Committed Athletes page.
