LA MIRADA, Calif. --- For the second time this year and third time in her career Sami Hover earned PacWest Conference Defender of the Week. 

Hover held it down for the Eagles in two wins this past weekend up in Northern California. The junior libero averaged 6.8 digs-per-set in the Eagles' 3-0 win at Notre Dame de Namur and 3-1 win over Dominican.

"Proud of how hard Sami works her leadership and preparation," said Head Coach Aaron Seltzer. "She continues to be our anchor on defense."

That is 48 total digs for Hover, who's up to 401 on the season now. She's also approaching 1,400 career digs, getting up to 1,372 last week.

Hover is second in the PacWest this season in total digs. She's also in the top 30 percent in all of NCAA Division II in that category. 

She and the Eagles head to Concordia Irvine on Saturday evening for their final away contest of the 2019 season.
