Biola sends a strong group to Fullerton to finish off regular season slate.

October 25, 2019

FULLERTON, Calif. --- On the eve of the 2019 PacWest Cross Country Championships Head Coach Sean Henning had nine runners compete at the CSU Fullerton Titan Invitational to round out the regular season slate.

On the men's side five runners compiled a team score of 215 total points. Team rankings are not available as of this writing.

Houston Reese was the top finisher for that group of guys, crossing the line in 28:01 to place 75th overall and 39th among counting runners. All five Eagles finished within eight counting spots of one another and within a one minute and 10 second time block.

After Reese came Aden Wiebers (28:10), Joshua Oglesby (28:43), Brendan Dowling (28:51) and Chris Campbell (29:11).

The women's team sent just four runners to the meet, so they did not register a team score. Crystal Jardines was the top finisher for the women and Biola's highest finisher overall with a 43rd-place finish and 20:41.

Taylor Lawsen had a great day, going 22:14 to place 68th in her first race since the season-opener at Craig Park. Her younger sister, Kaylie Lawsen, came across the line in 82nd with a 23:29 and Amelia DeYoung rounded out the group with a 23:49.

Next up for BU is the PacWest Championships, which the Eagles host Saturday at Craig Park in Fullerton, California. A full preview of the event will post later tonight on athletics.biola.edu.
