LA MIRADA, Calif. --- For the fourth time this year and ninth time of his career Gabe Plendcio earns PacWest Runner of the Week honors. He took first place in a field of 88 runners at the San Francisco State Invitational with a 10k time of 32:11.1.

It was the first 10k of the season for men's cross country, and the team handled it incredibly well by winning the meet and continuing to showcase why they're a team to be feared in the NCAA Division II West Region.

It is Plendcio's third meet win this season. He's won runner of the week in the conference following each of his four races so far this year. 

Next up for Plendcio is the 2019 PacWest Cross Country Championships. Biola hosts the meet at Craig Regional Park on Saturday Oct. 26. Plendcio won the individual title and led the team to a win in 2018. They will look to repeat this year. No PacWest teams have beat Biola in regular season competition this year.
