Signing Announcement for Jack MacDonald

MacDonald Joins The Attack

Biola Men’s Soccer adds another transfer striker to the roster by signing an Issaquah High School standout.

July 09, 2018

BELLEVUE, Wash. --- Jack MacDonald's journey to Biola University is a tale of good timing.

The forward's success at Issaquah High School made him a desirable addition for Head Coach Todd Elkins after Biola graduated three multi-goal scorers from last year's roster. And the opportunity to play soccer in Southern California while studying in a vibrant Christian community drew the attention of MacDonald after he spent his first year of college in his home state of Washington.

That opportunity will become reality very soon as MacDonald has committed to Biola and will travel to La Mirada in early August to join his new teammates for 2018 preseason training.

"Biola just fits me so well for what I want in a college and can't wait to start the business program also," said MacDonald. "I wanted to play a high level of soccer while also being in a Christian community that pushed me towards God alongside my teammates."

The Bellevue, Washington native built the majority of his soccer resume with the Issaquah Eagles, where he led his conference in scoring his senior year and was named First Team All-KingCo. He also contributed to a state title and regional third-place finish with his Eastside FC club team when he was a junior at Issaquah.

MacDonald plans to major in business management when he arrives at Biola and hopes for a career in soccer or in real-estate investing after college.

Biola's men's soccer recruiting class has increased to over 10 student-athletes with the addition of MacDonald. More information about other incoming student-athletes can be found on the Committed Athletes page.
