LA MIRADA, Calif. --- After two weeks and well over 3,000 votes cast the Biola Athletics Top Moment of 2017-18 final is set. The final two moments to consider for Moment of the Year are "The Blake Show" and "Dad Does It".

"The Blake Show", which is Blake Shannon, Jr.'s game-winning three-point shot to beat Azusa Pacific, defeated "Short & Sweep", Biola Volleyball's 3-0 win over Azusa Pacific, in the semifinal round.

"Dad Does It", which is Colton Worthington's walk-off game-winning homerun in the NCCAA West Regional (Biola Baseball's final home game), defeated "We the Champs!", Biola's dual-national title day, to advance to the finals.

Throughout the previous three rounds, "The Blake Show" accumulated a total of 617 votes. That moment accounted for 69.6 percent of all votes cast in its previous the matchups. "Dad Does It" accumulated a total of 514 votes, which accounted for 57.1 percent of total votes cast in its matchups. That moment also won the closest race of the entire countdown when it beat "Going to the 'Ship" by just six votes (2%) in its quarterfinal matchup.

About the final moments:
"The Blake Show" - In front of the first sellout crowd (2,400) in six years, Biola Men's Basketball put on a show in the reintroduction of its rivalry with the Azusa Pacific Cougars. The Eagles earned a 73-70 victory over the third-best team in the PacWest Conference. That three-point margin was gifted to the Eagles courtesy Blake Shannon, Jr.'s clutch three-point make with just a handful of seconds left on the clock. Shannon, the team's only senior, was the hero of the night, playing a team-high 38 minutes and pouring in a game-best 21 points, all of which came on made three-point shots.

"Dad Does It" - With his team tied 2-2 in the bottom of the ninth at the NCCAA West Region Championship, senior captain Colton Worthington wrapped up one of the most exciting games in the recent history of Biola Baseball with a walk-off homerun to defeat Saint Katherine, 3-2.  It was Worthington's seventh homerun of the year and one of his biggest, as it punched his team's ticket to the NCCAA World Series in Easley, South Carolina and put a stamp on his final at-bat at Eagles Diamond. Worthington's teammates came pouring out of the dugout after he launched an 0-1 slider over the left field fence, mobbing him at home plate in celebration of the Eagles' first berth at a national tournament since 2012.

For the final round, we will have voting available on our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Polling will run from around 10:30 a.m. on Friday July 20 through around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday July 21. The votes will be tabulated over the weekend with the winner announced on athletics.biola.edu on Monday, July 23.
