HONOLULU, Hawaii --- Hannah Hollenbeck comes to Biola after competing at the Junior Olympics in the heptathlon in 2016 and 2017 and making the Hawaii state track & field meet in four different events in her fantastic high school career. She will begin training with Head Coach Sean Henning's running programs in the fall and adds to his growing team of multi-event competitors.

Hollenbeck spent all four years of her career at Henry J. Kaiser High School on the vartsity team and captained the track team and cross country team during her senior year. She was a standout in whatever event she was competing in, qualifying for the state meet in the high jump, 300m hurdles, 400m and 800m and earning all-state honors in the 300m hurdle, 4x400m relay and 4x100m relay.

Her team was the state champion in 2015 and state runner-up in both 2016 and 2017. They were league champions from 2015 through 2017 and fielded a 4x400m relay team that went undefeated from 2015 through 2017. 

"I chose Biola because it's the perfect environment for me to grow in my faith while continuing my education and track career," said Hollenbeck.

Education is clearly very important to Hollenbeck, who graduates high school as a four-year honor roll member, member of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years program and was nearly the class valedictorian.

Hollenbeck is initially from Lincoln, Nebraska, but she moved to the great state of Hawaii when she was 12 years-old. She plans to major in kinesiology at Biola, with hopes of a career in occupational therapy.
