LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. --- Biola kept a firm grip on its lead over three other PacWest teams during its final day at the Wigwam Golf Course, holding its position on the overall leaderboard to finish in seventh place with an overall score of 910.

That team score ended up being nine strokes better than the Hawai'i Pacific Sharks after the Eagles started the tournament just one stroke ahead of eighth-place HPU after 18 holes. Additionally, the overall mark of 909 is just one stroke more than the Eagles' best three-round score this season, set at the ERAU Co-Ed Invite last October.

"It wasn't the low round we envisioned but looking back on the tough pins it was a good performance," said Head Coach Max Allen. "Early mistakes had us fighting from the beginning but we remained composed and played the final holes pretty well."

For the second-straight day Allen's team was led by Kyle McAbee, who finished his tournament with an impressively consistent 74-73-73 ( 4) to finish in a tie for 12th place. McAbee's final total of 220 was the best three-round score for any Eagles this season and the junior's best result since September of 2015.

McAbee paced his team with four birdies on Wednesday, starting two-under after two holes then finishing off his tournament with another birdie on 17. He stayed in the top-20 for the entire tournament after finding himself in 16th place after 18 holes and was the only Eagle in the top-20.

Austin Bishop was not far behind the top-20, though. Bishop settled into a tie for 25th place after following his 72 score in round one with a 54-hole total of 228. Parker Buck finished a stroke behind Bishop at 229 and Samuel Shih equaled his tournament-best score of 77 on Wednesday to move up a spot to 32nd place.

Biola wraps up the year with two of its best tournaments of the season, recording a 916 in the Hanny Stanislaus Invite and a 909 in the conference championship.

"We fell short of our goal to win this season," concluded Allen. "But we gave ourselves two really good chances to win and had excellent accomplishments off the course."
