LONG BEACH, Calif. --- Biola Track & Field closed out its three-meet weekend with a relatively light Saturday of competition with just Paige Labare and Aditya Lal in action at the Long Beach State Beach Invitational.

Labare ran the 100m and 200m dash and Lal competed in his customary 800m run to close out a weekend of back-and-forth busyness for the program.

Labare finished top-5 in both of her heats to place 59th overall in the 100m (:12.41) and 42nd overall in her 200m race (:25.30). The 200m time is a new career-best for the sophomore.

Lal was once again gunning for a National Christian College Athletic Association national meet berth with his 800m run. He came up just about three seconds short, but still had a solid performance at 1:55.97. He placed 61st overall in a large field with nine different heats.

The competition today closed the book on the regular season for BU. They enter the postseason on Friday and Saturday next week as they compete at their very first PacWest Conference Championship meet. Following that, the qualifying members of the team will go to Winona Lake, Ind. for the NCCAA National Championship meet.
