LA MIRADA, Calif. --- With significant help from her doubles partner,
Esther Lee provided the third standout performance for the Biola Eagles in as many matches.

Despite the 6-1 loss to the Westmont Warriors on Friday, the team of Esther and
Lauren Lee earned their second victory in 10 days at No. 1 doubles with an 8-2 win over Westmont's Cade Pierson and Taylor Cheung-Damon.

While
Esther Lee maintained a high level of play through singles competition against the Warriors, the win continues a stretch of recent success for
Lauren Lee. The sophomore from Clovis, California has now won a matchup in each of Biola's past three contests, extending back to Mar. 6 against Dominican.

Biola was down 2-1 when singles competition started, but a comeback from E. Lee in No. 1 singles to take the first set 6-4 gave the Eagles hope that they might get back in the match.

Lee played a back-and-foth second set before eventually dropping it by a score of 6-4. But there would not be a third set to decide the victor because four straight-set singles victories for Westmont and increasing rain forced the teams to leave the No. 1 and No. 6 singles matches unfinished.

The Eagles will look for their second team win on Saturday morning when Colorado Mesa comes to the Biola Tennis Center. Play against the Mavericks is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m
