LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Areana Ramos drove in 13 runs and had five multi-hit games to help Biola Softball to a 6-0 week last week. On the merit of this fantastic offensive output the junior was named PacWest Conference Player of the Week. 

Ramos earned multiple Golden State Athletic Conference Player of the Week honors over the past few seasons, but this is her fist NCAA Division II honors. She helped the team improve its overall record to 23-5 and improve to 10-2 in PacWest play with this week's 4-0 record in conference games.

The junior center fielder hit .476 for the week with three big flies and five total extra-base hits. She had 10 hits on the week to move into first overall in the conference in that category (36 this season). Ramos also leads the PacWest in runs (29) and RBI (29). Shes tied for second in the conference in homeruns (6) and doubles (8).

Biola eclipsed the 20-win threshold this week and is one of just two teams in the NCAA Division II West Region (Chico State) to have 20 or more victories. The Eagles host Academy of Art on March 15 for their next bit of action.
