JURUPA VALLEY, Calif. --- Biola Women's Golf shot a new spring low and moved up one spot on the final day of competition at the California Baptist Lancer Joust. The Eagles dropped three strokes from Monday to card a final round 319 and end up in a tie for 12th in the 18-team field.

Biola was led by a 77 shot by Jules Loibl on the final round. The sophomore dropped three strokes from her individual tally, which helped the Eagles move up into a tie with Concordia (Ore.) after ending the first day of play in 13th.

Loibl was at par or under for 11 of her 18 holes on Tuesday, recording two birdies along the way. Her two birdies came on hole 10 and 12, which were two of her final three holes of the tournament. She ended the tournament as Biola's lowest scorer, sitting in a tie for 31st overall at 13-over (80-77 | 157).

Sophia Karnazes, who shot the team-best 78 yesterday, finished second among the Eagles' scorers after carding an 80 in round two. She finished in a tie for 38th at one stroke behind Loibl.

Joining Loibl in dropping strokes from day one was Tori Roeske and Rachel Reynolds. Roeske followed her round one 82 with a round two 81 to finish as Biola's third scorer at 19-over. She tied for 59th overall and shot 10 pars and a birdie on Tuesday. It was a nice recovery after opening her final round with an eight on the par-four 15th hole.

Reynolds shot an 84 on the first day of competition and tied Loibl for the largest score decrease with her round two tally of 81. She and Marcel Manalo both ended the tournament tied for 70th with their final tallies of 21-over (165). Reynolds, similarly to Roeske, rebounded well from a challenging first hole where she shot double par.

The team total of 319 ties for the Eagles' eighth lowest round of the year and sets a new low for its spring tournaments. Biola is now through two of its five scheduled spring tournaments. The ladies get back on the course March 15-16 at the Augustana Spring Fling hosted at The Classic Club in Palm Springs.
