SANTA CLARITA, Calif. --- The weather that was such a factor in Monday's first round let up for the most part as teams finished the final two rounds of the TMU Spring Invitational.

The Biola Eagles followed their team score of 310 in round one with scores of 304 and 308 over the final 36 holes. The Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Stags finished as the top team after posting an incredible 283 in the final round while Biola finished at least 12 strokes ahead of four other teams in the draw.

"The conditions on day two made for ideal scoring opportunities but we didn't take advantage of it," said Head Coach Max Allen. "We beat all but one team in the second round when the conditions were toughest but that trend flipped in round three."

After strong finishes on Monday Parker Buck and Dominic Ariondo finished one-two for Biola with overall scores of 228 and 229, respectively. Buck shaved one stroke off of his second round score with a 76 overall his final 18 to claim the designation of the Eagles' best score at the tournament. And Ariondo proved he could repeat his performance on Monday with a 75 in round two on the way to a +13 finish.

"Parker birdied his last two holes to bring his score down," said Allen. "He made a decision to go for a drivable par 4 and it paid off with a birdie. He had some exceptional holes, making some excellent par saves and a dozen birdies this tournament. We will see a strong spring season from him."

Allen's team also got a huge boost on Tuesday with Austin Bishop's return to the course after he sat out on Monday. Bishop played a sharp 36 holes for scores of 75 and 76 in rounds two and three to card Biola's best two-round score of the day.

"Austin shot a 75 which was impressive given he didn't make any birdies," said Allen. "His short game was on point helping him limit some bad shots."

When all was said and done on Tuesday, Ariondo, Bishop, Buck and Kaden Page all improved upon their average three-round score for this season. Page set a new season-best for a single-round score in the final 18 on Tuesday with a 79 while Kyle McAbee hit his three-round average on the nose with a score of 234.

The Eagles next tournament will begin Thursday, Mar. 8 when they travel to Palm Spring to play in the Palm Springs Break Tournament.
