LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Two more school records and a second 2018 Pacific Collegiate Swimming & DIving Conference Championship for Lisa Tixier highlighted a busy third day of competition for Biola Swim & Dive over at SPLASH! Aquatics Center.

Tixier won the 100-butterfly by a margin of nearly two seconds to improve her finish by four spots from last year. She finished with a :53.97 to get the title, shaving nearly three seconds off her time at this event last year.

The two records fell in the men's 100-butterfly and women's 400-medley relay. Raymond Kam placed 10th overall with a :50.86. He beat Ricky Nerud's 11-year-old record of :51.29 in that event.

The medley relay record was an extension of the same group that one the short version of the medley relay two nights ago. Lisa Tixier, Emily Silzel, Rachel Stinchcomb and Rebecca Brandt. The ladies completed all the legs of the relay in 3:49.95 to finish fourth (two spots ahead of Azusa Pacific) and break the three-year-old record by about two seconds.

That relay placement helped the Eagles pull in 52 points, which helped them improve to 370.5 team points at the end of the day.

The ladies also got some help from three other top-15 finishes. Rachel Stinchcomb added a great individual go to her contributions to the relay and placed 10th in the 100-backstroke with a :58.60.

Emily Silzel also had some double duty going as well, and she made the most of it by placing 11th in the 200-freestyle. The super sophomore completed the event in 1:53.48, which is also better than what was the school record in that race coming into this meet.

Finally, Sophia Damman added a 15th-place finish in the 400-IM with a 4:44.17.

Four other events had Eagles earn top-15 finishes in events other than Kam's 100-butterfly record-setting effort. Kam himself had a another top finish as he placed fourth in the 100-breaststroke. It was a fantastic swim as he ended up just over 10-hundredths of a second on the school record with a :58.10.

Tom Franicevich had the next best finish in terms of place. He placed sixth in the 200-freestyle with a 1:44.03, which is about a half-second faster than the time he went at the NAIA National Championships last year.

Daniel Vale was not too far behind Kam during his record-setting butterfly swim. Vale finished just two spots back in 12th-place and recorded a :52.44 in an impressive performance.

Finally, Matthew Roe rounded out the top-15 finishes by placing 13th in the 100-backstroke with a 55:30.

The Eagles begin the final day of competition on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. The finals session starts with the 1,650-freestyle at 4:30 p.m. The competition concludes with the 200-backstroke, 100-freestyle, 200-breaststroke, 200-butterfly, 100-IM and finally, the most exciting event in swimming, the 400-freestyle relay.
