PLAINFIELD, Ill. --- Head Coach Ryan Kauth adds another out-of-state recruit to his class of 2019 committed recruits with Kellynn Hayes. Hayes, an Illinois native, swims distance freestyle and backstroke and has had an exceptional high school career.

She attends Plainfield North High School in Plainfield, Illinois, where she's spent four years on the varsity team and has three all-conference honors, been a three-time state qualifier and even earned all-state and All-American honors.

Hayes also swam club for 12 years and through that qualified for the state meet six times.

"I am beyond excited to experience the family-like atmosphere that I will receive from Biola University. I can tell this is the school where I can grow as a swimmer, student and Christian," said Hayes."

She's just as good of a student as she is a swimmer, earning high honor roll four times, becoming a member in the National Honor Society and the Spanish National Honor Society.

When she arrives to Biola in the fall, she plans to study psychology with hopes of entering a career in occupational therapy.
