LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Sierra Bauder had a historic season and the rewards and awards continue to pour in for the Eagles' middle blocker. On Tuesday, it was announced by the American Volleyball Coaches' Association that Bauder earned Biola's first-ever NCAA Division II All-American honors.

Bauder adds this to her PacWest Player of the Year honors, All-PacWest first team honors and AVCA All-West Region honors to cap off a phenomenal final season for BU. She set the conference record in single-season hitting percentage at .440 and led the team while setting a new career high with 294 kills.

"This is such a big deal and it could not have happened for a better person," said Head Coach Aaron Seltzer. "Sierra had a great year and has been a big part of this team. To see her rewarded in this way is really awesome. I am so proud of her and of this team."

Bauder helped lift the Eagles to their second-consecutive second-place finish in the PacWest Conference. The team went 19-3 against conference opponents, and Bauder led the way, hitting .476 in conference matches and recording well over a block-per-set in those matches.

Bauder earned All-America third team honors and was the only PacWest player featured on an "all-american team". Azusa Pacific's Julianne Miller earned All-American honorable mention honors.

Now the Eagles transition to the national stage, looking to cap the year with a second-straight National Christian College Athletic Association national title. Biola is in Point Lookout, Mo. for the national tournament, with matches scheduled Thursday through Saturday of this week.
