LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola Cross Country's incredible start to the season continued this past weekend in Santa Clarita, with the men taking first in The Master's University Mustang Invitational, earning a third-consecutive event win.

As a result, the men once again sweep the PacWest Conference weekly cross country awards, with Gabe Plendcio winning conference runner of the week and Jared Donnel taking home conference freshman of the week for the second week this season.

Plendcio earned his first individual title of the season by running a career-best time of 24:52.1 at the course at Central Park. He paced the field of 189 runners, which included runners from UCLA, Vanguard, Westmont and The Master's.

Donnel also lowered his top time of the season by a smidge, running a 25:49.7 to finish 23rd overall and help lift Biola to a win and its new best team time of the year, 2:07:54.10.

The Eagles have this weekend off before continuing their regular season with another Northern California road trip at the Santa Clara Bronco Invitational on Oct. 13.
