INDEPENDENCE, Ore. --- Biola Track & Field adds an All-State athlete to its roster for the 2019 season in Rebeka Preston. Preston is competing for Santiam Christian High School in Oregon and graduates this spring.

Preston is multi-talented, earning state titles in the 400m and triple jump while also competing in volleyball and basketball during her high school tenure.

"Rebeka is a diamond in the rough," said Head Coach Sean Henning. "I have enjoyed getting to know her over the past year and she is a great fit for this type of university. She will transition to the heptathlon and will do great. She should be a leader for our women's program in the future."

Preston earned all-state honors in each of her high school seasons to this point, including a championship in at least one event each year.

"I chose Biola to be able to have the opportunity to continue doing track while being surrounded by great coaches and teammates," said Preston.

She's also landed on the honor roll each year and plans to major in biology when she gets to Biola. She aims for a career as a pediatric oncologist.
