MONUMENT, Colo. --- Head Coach Ryan Kauth's 2018-19 team continues to grow bigger and better with the commitment of Faith McAllister. McAllister joins the Eagles after a very successful high school career with the Palmer Ridge High School Bears.

"Faith is a very detailed-oriented swimmer and a clear student of the sport, which I think is key for success on the collegiate level," said Kauth. "She made a very positive statement to our staff by turning down offers from other schools to be at Biola, and I think that spoke volumes about her dedication to the future our program. She will add depth to a very strong butterfly and IM group here."

McAllister finished top-16 in Colorado in the 100-butterfly in 2016 and 2017 and was also top-16 in the state in 200-IM in 2017. She earned all-conference honors and all-area honors both years also.

She plans to major in nursing when she arrives at Biola and hopes for a career as a missionary nurse in South America.

McAllister's high school team finished top-10 in state three times during her four-year varsity career, including one top-5 finish in 2017. They were conference runner-ups in the Pikes Peak League.

"I chose Biola because it has a highly reputable nursing program and it will provide me with opportunities to continue to grow in my faith," said McAllister. "I love the atmosphere of the school, the swim team and the sunny Southern California location."

McAllister is a phenomenal student, finishing off high school with a GPA higher than 4.0 all four years. She landed on the Academic All-State first team and finished as an AP Scholar with Honor.

She begins her studies at Biola in the fall and will have her first collegiate meet in October of 2018.
