SAN DIEGO, Calif. --- Biola Cross Country and Track & Field has added another league champion and All-CIF competitor in Brady DeHaven. DeHaven joins Head Coach Sean Henning's program following a decorated career at Granite Hills High School in San Diego.

While running for those Eagles DeHaven managed to win the league individual cross country championship in 2016 and 2017 and earned All-CIF honors both seasons. He also led both the track team and cross country team to team league championships.

"Brady is a fantastic fit for Biola. I met him the summer before his junior year of high school at an Fellowship of Christian Athletes camp at UCLA and was very impressed with his work ethic and desire to be great in all aspects of his life," said Henning. " Brady values his faith tremendously and wanted to be a part of a faith-based school that would incorporate that into his experience. He has great awareness of his ability as an athlete and what he needs to work on to get better. He will be a great leader for us in the future and will make an immediate impact in our program!"

DeHaven was a state qualifier in cross country during his junior and senior seasons. He finished 13th at the state meet as a senior. He also earned his first individual league track championship in 2017, when he won the 3,200m.

"When I had an official visit I felt at home with the loving community, team, and spiritual values that the school as a whole values, whether on the field competing or in the classroom learning," said DeHaven.

He will begin classes at Biola this coming fall and is still searching for his major. He lists his career goals as using his God-given talents and passions to live his life with purpose.

DeHaven is a 2018 Granite Hills Senior Honor Graduate.
