LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Gabe Plendcio has been nominated for the D2 Men's Cross Country HERO of the Week award, an award from HERO Sports that recognizes the best individual performances of the week for NCAA sports. The sophomore ran an 8K time of 25:04.6 at the UCR Invitational, the top time among PacWest Conference runners.

The award is determined by fan votes and the poll closes this Friday at noon Pacific. Votes may be cast once per hour until the deadline and the winners will be announced Friday afternoon. Plendcio is one of seven student-athletes that have been nominated for this week's D2 Men's Cross Country award.
