LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Gracee Teague (née Gallarda) helped lead Biola Volleyball to some of its best finishes at the NAIA National Tournament when she was the setter for the team from 2010 through 2013. Now she looks to contribute to the team's success in NCAA DIvision II as Head Coach Aaron's Seltzer's lead assistant.

With Abbie Wright's departure to Seattle Pacific for a head coaching position, Teague began her duties as lead assistant two month ago. In 2016 she served as an assistant during the Eagles' final year in the Golden State Athletic Conference and run to the NAIA Round of 16. She's also worked in club volleyball and participated in community engagement with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Teague made trips to the NAIA quarterfinals (or further) all four years she played under Seltzer. In 2011, she led the team in assists as a sophomore and Biola defeated an undefeated No. 1 team in Texas at Brownsville on its way to the national quarterfinals. Teague earned all-conference and NAIA All-American honors in 2012 and 2013. Biola had its best year in program history in 2013 when it appeared in the NAIA National Championship match and finished as the runner-up. Teague ended her career at Biola with 3,617 total assists and over 100 service aces. She averaged well over 11 assists-per-set after moving into a 5-1 rotation for her junior and senior seasons.

Teague is currently helping the team prepare for the start of the upcoming season. The Eagles have a home exhibition scheduled for Aug. 30 against old GSAC rivals, the Vanguard Lions. Volleyball plays its first regular season matches on Sept. 1 during the Notre Dame De Namur Tournament in Belmont, California. Play begins at 10:30 a.m. against Sonoma State.
