BAKERSFIELD, Calif. --- Head Coach David Goodman added more premier high school talent to his 2018 recruiting class in the form of Frontier High School's Madison Swaney.
 
Swaney played four years of varsity for the Titans and was the No. 1 player and MVP during each of those years. She helped the team to a CIF Central Section DIII Championship back in 2013.
 
"Madison has a good deal of experience playing at a high level due to her USTA achievements," said Goodman "She is going to fit in nicely with the team."
 
Swaney won the individual league championship in 2016 and placed third in the CIF Central Sectionals as a senior. She earned the 2016 BVarsity Player of the Year honors and is ranked inside of the top-75 of all California tennis recruits.
 
She also maintained a 4.0 grade point average throughout her high school career as an AP and honors student and held membership in the California Scholarship Federation.
 
"I chose Biola because I loved the campus atmosphere and I wanted to attend a school where I could grow spiritually, academically and athletically," said Swaney.
 
Swaney will begin at Biola this fall and plans to study kinesiology with hopes of a career as a physical therapist.
