Two Earn PCSC Weekly Honors

Biola had two swimmers break school records this weekend and they both earn awards.

LA MIRADA, Calif. --- For the second time this season Lisa Tixier and Raymond Kam have earned Pacific Collegiate Swim & Dive Conference weekly honors. The senior and sophomore led the Eagles to a dominant performance at the Collegiate Winter Invite in South Gate to earn their awards.

Tixier broke her own school record in the 100-breaststroke (1:04.29) and had six event wins, including four relay victories. The senior currently ranks inside of the top-15 in all of the NCAA Division II in the 100-freestyle (:51.00) and 100-butterfly (:55.30).

Kam finished inside of the top-3 in seven different events and also set a new school record. He broke Chad LeJeune's 200-breaststroke record when he recorded a 2:08.96. He finished second in the 100-breaststroke, 200-breaststroke, 200-IM and 200-medley relay and third in the 100-butterfly, 400-medley relay and 400-freestyle relay.

The Eagles pick back up this weekend with a head-to-head meet at Whittier College on Saturday.
