Biola Leads NCCAA President’s Award

Eagles lead All-Sports award after an incredible fall season.

December 13, 2017

LA MIRADA, Calif. --- The Eagles' fall sports team represented Biola admirably during the institutions first season as a dual-member in Ncaa Division II and the NCCAA. After three National Championships and two runner-up finishes, the Eagles have taken a substantial lead in the standings for the NCCAA President's Award, an honor given to the school that finishes the academic year with the best overall results at NCCAA National Championships.

Points for the President's Award are distributed based on a program's finish at the NCCAA National Championships, with 12 points for first, nine points for second and so on. Full criteria and current standings for the President's Award can be found here.

With 54 points, the Eagles have a 21 point lead on second-place Indiana Wesleyan University at the conclusion of the fall season. If the Eagles were to win the President's Award at the conclusion of the spring season, they would match the successes of Azusa Pacific and California Baptist when they participated in the NCCAA during their transition to NCAA Division II,

CBU won the President' Award in 2012 while the Cougars were back-to-back winners in 2013 and 2014
