Eagles To Host Regional Tuesday

Free volleyball, free candy and canned food drive offer Halloween alternative.

October 28, 2017

LA MIRADA, Calif. --- By virtue of its No. 1 overall ranking in the National Christian College Athletic Association Biola Volleyball has been selected to host the NCCAA West Region Championship on Tuesday, October 31 at 7:00 p.m.

In conjunction with the event, Biola and Life Pacific are teaming up for a canned food drive. We ask that all fans bring canned food item(s) to donate in exchange for admission. The donations will go to a local church. The match will be a great alternative event to attend on Halloween. We will be giving away candy at the door and, of course, running the canned food collection.

The Eagles (15-6) will host the Warriors of Life Pacific College (23-9) in a winner-take-all one-night battle to represent the West Region at the 2017 NCCAA Volleyball National Championship tournament in Kissimmee, Florida. The national tournament is scheduled for Nov. 30 - Dec. 2.

Biola is looking to make it to the NCCAA Volleyball National Championship for the first time in program history. The Eagles can do so with a win in their first home match since Oct. 9. Life Pacific is also looking for their first national tournament appearance. It's the Warriors' third season of volleyball since athletics was re-launched at LPC.

Tuesday night's match will be the fourth countable contest between these two sides. The Eagles won the previous three, all in three sets, including the latest matchup on Oct. 26 of last year.

The match will also be live streamed at portal.stretchinternet.com/biola for those fans unable to attend.
