LA MIRADA, Calif. --- Biola's first match in nearly a month proved to be a tough one as the Eagles lost 3-0 to The Master's College in a GSAC match on Saturday afternoon.

The Eagles fall to 3-2-0 on the season and 0-1-0 in GSAC play while the Mustangs improve to 6-2-0 overall and 1-0-0 in conference action.

The Master's got off to a quick start with a goal in the 12th minute. Katie McMannis received a long pass from a TMC midfielder leading to a 1-on-1 break and an early goal to put the Mustangs up 1-0.

Just moments after halftime, Emily Bruton sent a quick cross over to Andie Reyes, who had a quick finish to give The Master's a 2-0 lead in te 48th minute.

Bruton then closed out the match with a turn-around finish off a scramble in the box in the match's 68th minute to cap the scoring.

The Callie Willoughby needed to make just one save on the night to earn the shutout for The Master's. Biola had just five shots against a tough Mustang defense while The Master's scored three times on its eight shots.

Biola returns to action on Monday (Sept. 29), traveling to the Bay area to face UC Santa Cruz in a non-conference match at 4:00 p.m.
