LA MIRADA, Calif. — Biola pitcher Erica Moyer has been named the GSAC Softball Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 7-13 as announced Monday by the conference office.

Moyer, a freshman from Hemet, Calif., was 1-1 in two starts last week, but allowed just one run on six hits against a pair of nationally-ranked teams. She limited No. 1-ranked California Baptist to just one run on two hits over five innings and struck out two on Tuesday. At No. 13 Vanguard on Saturday, she continued her solid pitching, scattering four hits over seven shutout innings. She added five strikeouts and picked up the win in that game.

Moyer is now 4-7 on the season with a 2.61 ERA. She has been strong over her last seven outings, allowing just five earned runs on 20 hits with 28 strikeouts in 30 innings, going 3-2 with a 1.17 ERA.

Biola returns to action on Tuesday (Apr. 15) hosting Concordia University in a GSAC doubleheader beginning at 2:00 p.m.
