LA MIRADA, Calif. — Biola swept the three doubles matches and followed with four singles victories to defeat La Sierra University 7-2 in a non-conference match at the Biola Tennis Center on Tuesday.

The Eagles improve to 6-9 on the season..

Biola returned from its spring break layoff with a strong performance. Marisa Flores and Brea Roth easily cruised to an 8-1 win at No. 1 doubles as did Christine Garner and Nicholle Johnson with an 8-0 win at No. 2s. The Eagles closed out a sweep of the doubles play as Sarah Snyder and Kelli Shiroma won 8-5 at No. 3 doubles.

Flores and Shiroma had little trouble clinching the match for Biola with two easy singles victories. Flores won 6-0, 6-0 at No. 4 singles with Shiroma cruising to a 6-1, 6-0 win at No. 6. Kristen Willials came through for Biola with a 6-1, 7-5 victory at No. 3 singles while Sarah Snyder won 7-6, 7-5 at No. 5.

The Eagles return to the cournts on Saturday (Apr. 5), traveling to Concordia for a GSAC match at Noon.
