LA MIRADA, Calif. — Biola junior forward Megann Alberts has once again been named to the All-Golden State Athletic Conference team as voted on by the conference coaches and announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Alberts, who also earned All-GSAC recognition as a sophomore in 2006-07, finished the season ranked fourth in the conference in scoring with a 16.3 points per game average, fifth in rebounding with 8.1 per game and eighth in blocked shots with 0.8 per contest.

Alberts, who came to Biola from Colorado Springs Christian School in Colorado Springs, Colo., wrapped up the regular season with 10 double-doubles. She scored a season-high 26 points on two occasions, the last coming against Hope International when she also added 14 rebounds in a 96-85 Biola victory.

Point Loma Nazarene Head Coach Bill Westphal was named the GSAC Coach of the Year after leading the Sea Lions to a conference title and ending Vanguard's four-year run at the top of the GSAC. The Lions' Jessica Richter repeated as GSAC Player of the Year.

The Eagles are headed to the GSAC playoffs on Wednesday (Mar. 5), traveling down to Point Loma Nazarene for a first round game at 7:30 p.m. It will be Biola first playoff appearance in four years.
