COMPLETE RESULTS

SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Biola continued its spring tour of play at the 2008 Point Loma Nazarene/Smee Builders Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at the Steele Canyon Golf Course in Jamul, Calif.

The Eagles struggled against some of the best teams in the NAIA and NCAA Division III, placing 16th overall. Point Loma took top honors, edging the University of La Verne by three strokes.

Biola's Tim Goodfriend finished tied for 59th overall with a 231 to lead the Eagles. CJ Clark was 75th, firing a 255 with Greg Bodine tying for 78th with a 259. Rounding out the troop was Neal Kapur at 83rd with a 274.

"It is a honor to play at such a great invitational as the PLNU Invite is," said head coach John Lane. "We continue to make strides with this young team and each tournament helps up better prepare for the future. I am learning a lot as a coach and each of these guys is learning a ton about collegiate golf that we hope will translate into success in the coming years."

Biola wraps up its first regular season of golf at The Master's Invitational on March 31 and April 1.
