LA MIRADA, Calif. — Biola third baseman Jacqie Hudson has been named the GSAC Player of the Week for the week of March 24-30 as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Hudson, a senior from Orange, batted .478 for the Eagles this week, collecting 11 hits in 23 at bats as Biola won four of six games. She finished the week with 11 hits including two home runs and two doubles, driving in 11 runs and scoring seven.
She was a perfect 3-for-3 with a home runs and five RBIs in Biola's 14-0 win over McPherson College. On Saturday, she went 3-for-7 as the Eagles split a doubleheader with No. 3 Point Loma Nazarene. In the first game, Hudson was 2-for-4 with two runs scored as Biola picked up the 9-4 upset win over the Sea Lions.
Hudson leads Biola with a .398 average and has a team-best 39 hits and 22 RBIs.
The Eagles are 16-16 on the season and return to action on Tuesday (Apr. 1), traveling to face GSAC foe Hope International in Buena Park at 4:00 p.m.
