LA MIRADA, Calif. — Biola junior forward Megann Alberts has been named to the NAIA Honorable Mention All-America team for the second straight season as announced by the NAIA national office on Tuesday.
Alberts, who also earned All-GSAC recognition as a in 2006-07 and 2007-08, finished the season ranked fourth in the conference in scoring with a 16.0 points per game average, fifth in rebounding with 8.2 per game and eighth in blocked shots with 0.8 per contest.
Alberts, who came to Biola from Colorado Springs Christian School in Colorado Springs, Colo., wrapped up the regular season with 10 double-doubles. She scored a season-high 26 points on two occasions, the last coming against Hope International when she also added 14 rebounds in a 96-85 Biola victory.
The Eagles closed out the 2007-08 season with an overall mark of 9-22, reaching the postseason for the first time in four years.
