SANTA BARBARA, Calif. — Kelli Shiroma picked up a victory at No. 6 singles but that would be the only win of the day for Biola as the Eagles fell 8-1 to No. 25 Westmont in a GSAC match on Tuesday at the Abbott Tennis Courts in Santa Barbara.

Biola drops to 0-6 on the year and 0-4 in conference play while Westmont moves to 5-2 and 1-2 in the GSAC.

Shiroma had little trouble defeating Westmont's Emily Hughes 6-0, 6-0 at No. 6 singles. However, Westmont won the remaining five singles matches in straight sets and took all three of the doubles contests as well.

Biola returns home this week for a pair of matches beginning with a non-conference contest against the University of La Verne on Friday (Feb. 29) at 5:00 p.m.
