LA MIRADA, Calif. — Biola received a pair of default victories at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles, but was unable to overcome a tough Azusa Pacific squad, falling 7-2 in a GSAC match at the Biola Tennis Center on Friday.

The Eagles drop to 0-4 and 0-1 in conference action while the Cougars improve to 5-1 and 2-0 in GSAC play.

Biola's Sarah Snyder was the beneficiary of the default victory at No. 6 singles while Marisa Flores and Kelli Shiroma picked up the victory at No. 3 doubles. Biola had a strong match at No. 5 singles as Shiroma played strong against Jessalyn Lau before falling 6-2, 7-5.

The Eagles head to Point Loma Nazarene for another GSAC contest on Saturday (Feb. 23) at 11:00 a.m.
