LA MIRADA, Calif. — The University of Alberta swept Biola in the doubles portion of the match and the first two singles matches before rain ended the match early with the visitors from the north winning the match 5-0 on Tuesday afternoon at the Biola Tennis Center in La Mirada.

The Eagles drop to 0-3 on the season with the loss.

Biola suffered a pair of 8-0 losses in the first two doubles matches, but the third match was a thriller with Sarah Snyder and Kelli Shiroma coming from behind before falling 8-6.

The first two singles matches were won in straight sets by Alberta before the coaches decided to call the match due to a steady drizzle.

The Eagles return to the courts on Friday (Feb. 22), hosting Azusa Pacific University at 2:30 p.m.
